Bengt worked for 10 years with developing the very basis of the Java platform. His code is running on millions of computers around the world. He was one of the lead developers for the G1 garbage collector, which is now the default garbage collector in JDK 9. He has a wide experience with many languages outside of Java. Most of the JVM development was done in C and C++. Before working with Java, Bengt worked with developing the IDE for the language Component Pascal at Oberon systems in Switzerland. Bengt has a genuine interest in spreading knowledge and inspiring others to learn.
