Amazing log management with ElasticSearch and Kibana in .net

There is a lot of information worth logging in an application, everything from errors to user behavior. First we put it on disk and if we are lucky it might end up in a database where we can do queries, aggregated statistic or find specific errors, usually that is more cumbersome or expensive than we like. With Elasticsearch and Kibana we have an easy to use open source stack that gives us both great aggregation and search capabilities with a user friendly UI.

I will start the session by implementing logging in an .net web application to get the most out the logged data in ElasticSearch. Next step will be to move the data from file to Elasticsearch with LogFlow a .net replacement to LogStash, a log manager. Last I will show how to manage, aggregate and search the logs with Kibana by setting up a personalized dashboard.
