After completing an undergraduate and postgraduate degree at the University of Nottingham, I then completed a Masters in Social Research at Loughborough University. I also completed my PhD research in social psychology at Loughborough University, where I focused on the way in which individuals interact online. I was particularly interested in the similarities and differences between online and offline interaction, and how these differences might be explained by the medium of interaction. My subsequent research has focused on the methods we might use to study online interaction, and how we can collect this kind of data. I have continued to research how individuals interact online, and focused on the structures of those interactions and the various features of the platform which they might orient to. I am currently a lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton, and am a member of the Cyberpsychology Research Unit (CRUW).
